Can We Save Ourselves From Ourselves?

From 1915 to 1923, Ottoman Turks slaughtered up to 1.5 million Armenians. In mid-century the Nazis exterminated 6 million Jews, 3 million Soviet POW's, 2 million Poles, and 400,000 other "undesirables".

Mao Zedong killed an estimated 30 million Chinese while the Soviets murdered 20 million of its own people.

The Khmer Rouge killed 1.7 million fellow Cambodians in the killing fields.

In the 1980's and 90's Saddam Hussein's Baath Party killed over 100,000 Kurds and this number continues to rise as more evidence is discovered.

Rwanda's Hutu-led military wiped out over 1 million Tutsi civilians in the 1990's.

Today, the same is going on in Sudan's Darfur region.

As of the most recent update of the statistics by Prolife.org, the estimated total number of abortions, in the United States alone, is over 49 million since 1973. That pace is almost three times the combined total of the previously mentioned heinous acts of genocide committed all over the world in past 100 years. The world has gone to war twice, in part, due to these atrocities.

Is There A Remedy?

There is prayer.

There is also hope…and it comes in little packages. In this case, 7 pounds, 10 ounces.

Please join us in welcoming into the world Ethan the son of OLTIV's volunteer webmaster who helps keep this website running smoothly on behalf of Our Lady of America's mission to call Her children to lead the world by the purity of their lives.

Congratulations. Thank you for sharing this precious little symbol of hope.
