On July 7th, 5 other moms and I and our 22 children ventured down to Sylvan Springs for a relaxing day and to give a little back to a place that has given us so much. Right now, I am waiting to see what Our Holy Mother has in store for the continuance of this holy land. I know in my heart that she will not let us down. Sylvan Springs needs for someone or a group of people to come forward and help out financially to preserve this place for what it is intended to be.

We are able to go there freely now to pray and have days where others volunteer to tell the history of the place as well as how it has changed their lives. Knowing that being part of a financial team is not my place in all of this, a few moms that have been to Rome City and one who has always wanted to go, offered to help out a little and to spend a fun day with the kids on this holy property.

We arrived around 3pm and headed to Holy Family Hill where Nick and Ruby had all of the supplies ready for us to get to work. The kids were anxious to help. They raked, scraped and painted before heading to a nearby field to play ball. It was amazing to see everyone working together to accomplish something nice for Our Mother. Knowing that we were doing it so that others could enjoy their time at the Springs gave us all a great sense of accomplishment.

As soon as we started painting, Paige, who is 6 years old, started asking her mom when we were going to pray the rosary. I'm sure I heard her ask this question at least 10 times that day. After we ate and took a brief tour, we all headed back to the hill to say a rosary. It was music to my ears to hear the children praying this special prayer. I know that Mary was pleased as well.

There were many amazing photos taken that day, including one with an image of Mary on the lawn.
Many orbs of many colors appeared in many different cameras.
I tell Mary often that I do not "need" anything special of her like this, but apparently she thinks that I do! I continue to ask that she help me to be the best mom that I can be and to do whatever I can to promote Our Lady of America. I am humbled to be any part of what is taking place there. It is so much greater than I.
